2022 Screen Actors Guild Award nominees are revealed

The nominations for the 28th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced live on Instagram by Rosario Dawson and Vanessa Hudgens on Wednesday.

On the television side, “Mare Of Easttown”, “Succession”, “Ted Lasso”, and “Only Murders In The Building” received multiple nods, with Jean Smart becoming a double nominee for both “Mare Of Easttown” and “Hacks”.

On the film side, the SAGs recognized Caitriona Balfe in “Belfast”, Nicole Kidman and Javier Bardem in “Being The Ricardos”, Will Smith in “King Richard”, Lady Gaga and Jared Leto in “House Of Gucci”, and Cate Blanchett in “Nightmare Alley”.  “Belfast”, “CODA”, “Don’t Look Up”, “House of Gucci”, and “King Richard” all scored nominations for their ensemble in the Best Cast In A Motion Picture category.

In addition to this year’s awards, Helen Mirren has been named the 57th recipient of SAG-AFTRA’s “SAG Life Achievement Award” for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment. The award will be presented to Mirren during the full televised ceremony, which is currently scheduled to take place in person on Sunday, February 27, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
